Early Childhood Program

Email school@sgs-hermann.com for details on enrollment.
The St. George Early Childhood Programs are a faith-filled environment that offers developmentally age-appropriate materials and activities. Through Christ-like example, teachers, staff, and administration are a source of encouragement that enhances the spiritual, physical, social, intellectual and emotional development of every child. The mission is fulfilled through the efforts of parents who are their child’s first teachers. Working together, the child becomes an enthusiastic creative explorer, and an independent, self-confident learner.
Preschool
Our preschool program is specifically for children who are 3 years old, and helps the child transition from a daycare or homecare environment to a preschool environment.
FEATURES:
- Provides the child with active involvement with the environment in order to help them attempt to make sense of the world around them.
- The program is designed to help the children observe what happens when they interact with material and other people.
- Children are encouraged to engage in activities such as block building, painting, or dramatic play, adding pieces of information to what they already know, thereby generating new understandings.
- Children have the opportunity to learn simple concepts and then use these concepts to grasp more complex ideas.

- The children are encouraged to become confident learners by helping them acquire skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions and use words to describe their ideas, observations, and feelings.
